For my studies in high school, I attended Palm Harbor University High School where I was accepted into the Center for Wellness and Medical Professions (CWMP) magnet program. This program allowed me to engage in a vigorous high school curriculum that included Honors and AP courses in addition to courses focused on health sciences.
While in the CWMP program I had the opportunity to take health science classes that included human anatomy and physiology, pharmacy tech, allied health topics and other related subjects. As part of the senior year path selection, I took a class in nursing assistance that included clinical rotations and licensure examination. At the end of this course and clinical rotations I successfully obtained a CNA license in the state of Florida.
As part of my involvement in the CWMP program, I also actively participated in the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA). Through HOSA I competed with other regions in health related topics including at the state and national levels. In my final two years of high school, as both a member and as chairman, my Parliamentary Procedure teams were able to accomplish 1st place at the state level and top 10 at the national level.
I participated in the National Honor Society (NHS) as part of my junior and senior years and received French Honor Society recognition.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.2 GPA.
